Lost...need some guidance

#1 Post by jwterry3 » Mon Jun 01, 2020 7:26 pm

Very well versed in boats....just not pontoons. Family bought a lake house to split with my parents. So older folks want to cruise with a glass of wine and our crowd will need to pull kids on tubes etc.

After 20yrs running center consoles up to 32ft, I am shopping for my first pontoon.

I admit I am lost at where to start but I do have a list of wants:

21-23 ft (slip at house is 25x10)
Bimini not arch
Mostly bench seating as we won’t fish much
Storage a plus
115+ hp
Ability to pull skiers and tubes....

Looking at new or a few years old with a budget in the 20-30k range

I am trying to make a list of manufacturer ps to consider and go from there..so far we like Bentley and Bennington. What others should I focus on?

We are in the Carolinas if it matters.

Which lake? We're on Keowee....well, every other weekend anyway.

With your budget range of 20-30k, does that run to $39,999? New ones are nuts.

I suggest looking at tritoons. They'll handle chop smoother, they'll achieve a bit more speed.
