water separator & manual

Newbie here...couldn't locate a definitive answer doing a search...wondering if a 2005 Mercury 50 hp 2 stroke ELPTO has a built in water separator or not? If it does will it hurt if I add an additional exterior one? Additionally. does anyone have a digital owners/service manual for this motor?

Welcome to the group!

Can't help you with actual motor questions - I ain't a motor guy. My guess, and only a guess, is that a second water separator couldn't hurt. BUT - go to http://boatinfo.no/lib/library.html and click on the stack of manuals. You can navigate around and find the manual for your specific motor. Often down to the specific serial number. Good luck.

Some fuel pumps cannot pull fuel through multiple water separators.
