Howdy,
I own a 22' 2004 Lowe Pontoon boat with a 70HP Johnson engine model J70PL4ST. The power trim does not work. When I try to lift or lower the engine by toggling the switch up or down, I can hear a faint click in the engine but the engine does not move up or down. I do not know if the power lift uses an electric motor and worm drive or a hydraulic system. I have looked online for a service manual and parts manual without success. I don't even know where to look for the power lift system in the engine housing. I will appreciate any assistance you can give me to find manuals or a link to an online discussion about repairs of this type.
