New tritoons are staring to show up at my dealer. Looking at a Manitou Oasis.Only the larger center tube has strakes on it.
Comes with a Merc 200L. The company stresses the performance characteristics of the strakes on all the tubes. Would the wise thing be to hold out for the upgrade? Thanks all

When I was shopping for my tritoon a few years ago, I drove boats with both setups and noticed those with 2 strakes on all toons performed very different than just those strakes on the inside.
IMO strakes on the outside of the outer toons seemed to make the boat turn less aggessively making for a more gradual turn with a larger turning radius. Those without those outer most strakes turned much sharper and more agressively. I opted for a model without those extra strakes for that reason. I enjoy being able to snap the boat into a tight turn.

So you have strakes on all three tubes? Both sides of the inner tube but only on the inner side of the right and left tubes?

Ours has strakes on both the inside and outside of all three pontoons.
It handles very well when trimmed properrly.
