North Carolina
Finally got my Bass Buggy 18 here in AZ and now thinking about moving to Wilmington, NC. Will I have enough places to launch and enjoy my new pontoon boat? I would really like to keep it in fresh water.
Re: North Carolina
Google maps isn't promising, unless you trailer it.
Enjoy the ICW and just rinse it off, tons of folks do

Re: North Carolina
I have several friends who live in the Wilmington area, but it's a coastal town with salt water and brackish water. If you want fresh water, there's probably better options in other parts of NC.

Re: North Carolina
My toon lives in salt water and is just fine. Just make sure you sharkhyde the whole thing and you will love it.
Great crabbing and flounder fishing there too!

I am the guy at the boat ramp that gives you dirty looks when you are a complete idiot and too stupid to know it.
Re: North Carolina
Gotta agree. I also live in saltwater/brackish water (ICW). After a weekend of use, I highly recommend flushing the motor with SaltAway. If I'm going out a few days in a row, I will wait until the last day. Really keeps the salt cleaned out. I also will stop the flush with enough left in the container to rinse the whole boat with it in between full soapy wash downs. Spray it on, rinse it off.
