another prop question

So i tore up my prop yesterday and am trying to decide what pitch and diameter to replace it with. my current prop is a 12x11 which i have never been happy with my 40hp wot is 4700rpm and top speed varies between 9-12 is there somewhere i can find out what my recommended rpms are because im pretty sure it should be higher.

It would help out alot if we knew what motor you have. 2 or 4 stroke? What year?

You should try one of the mecury pontoon specific high cup props...
