Forward gate
Is it legal to operate a toon without a forward gate in Kentucky?
1998 Crest 25' Tritoon,115 Johnson 2 stroke. 13x11 4 blade spitfire prop, pulled with 2007 GMC sierra classic 2500hd 4x4. ky lake :nutkick :thumbsup :eviltaunt
Re: Forward gate
Mine has been off since I bought it in 2017 and never been an issue. I am in Florida and mostly salt water where there are tons of police, coasties, and wildlife patrol. Even been pulled over for a "safety" stop and nothing said about it. Took my rear door off as well.
I am the guy at the boat ramp that gives you dirty looks when you are a complete idiot and too stupid to know it.
Re: Forward gate
That's a really good question! I cannot recall a law saying that a fence/gate is required. Yes, some jurisdictions will nail you for passengers riding outside of the fence/rail - but what if the boat has none?

Big and ugly but we love our 1999/2000 Crest II DL with a Yamaha F115
Re: Forward gate
I seriously doubt you would ever get pulled over for it unless you are standing in front of it taking a piss. Then, maybe.
