Quick clean of pontoons

We still go out every few days if only for a couple of cold beverages. Some of my kids/grandkids are coming in tomorrow to stay through Tuesday so I pulled the boat up on my ramp to give the tubes a quick acid wash. No time to buff them to make them shine, but the old tub looks better. She is a big old ugly old beast but she keeps making memories! Saturday is the big airshow on our lake and fireworks after!

The prime airshow viewing area on the lake was waaaay crowded, so we picked a different spot to anchor. The spot we picked was right in the approach path of the aircraft so they were right overhead up close and personal! The roar of F-22/F-16/F-18 afterburners burners was incredible. Our new Golden Doodle is 7 months old and handled the noise just fine. He actually ran toward the noise instead of away. With only six of us and two dogs, the boat was emptier than on normal holiday weekends.

Well Sir; it looks good to me!
How do you clean aluminum with acid? I’ve always been very concerned about that; so I’ve never tried.
That said, my ‘toons could sure use a little cleaning; so any advice y’all would care to give would be much appreciated!
