Bump rails?

#1 Post by Thechap1 » Fri Feb 09, 2024 1:04 pm

Can anyone suggest some sort of bumper rails that could allow me an easier time loading my pontoon boat onto the trailer? Especially when the wind is blowing. The boat is about 20 foot log with two pontoons.

If you want to blow some money, there are these that can be adjusted so that they are angled so when the trailer is in the water the guides stay level with the boat: https://pontoonloader.com/

There are these that are less expensive:

Both of my Yacht Club trailers came with their part number SGPTB-7 PTB "Side Guide Bunks 7 ft". They have to be ordered from a dealer though I think. I can't seem to find another similar setup. If you're handy though you could easily replicate them.
