Boat lift bunk length

When I bought our home six years ago, the boat was already in the boathouse on slings. All is well but want to convert to a cradle lift in order to have guide posts, but I do not know how long the bunk boards need to be. My pontoon boat is a 26-year-old 25' with 115HP on the back. I am guessing that they need to be 16 '- 20' with full support of the stern and some overhang of the nosecones and tube.

How long are your bunk boards as compared to your pontoon length?

Thanks!

No input?

My trailer bunks are 25', but I am being told that 16' will be fine for a stationary lift application. I am thinking that basic pressure treated 2x6 will do it?

I think as long as the centers are covered (center weight) you'd be good!
