Hello,
New to pontoon boating. We arrived at our dock space yesterday and noticed we lost a fender. The rope was still tied at the top rail but no fender Apparently the knot used was not good enough. What kind of knot should be used to connect to these fenders. Thank you.

I believe that was the knot tied. Maybe it just wasn't snugged up tight enough. There didn't appear to be anything wrong with the other 3 fenders. The rope is Solid Braid Rope, 3/8".

I always use a bowline to tie on my fenders.

I use the two half hitches, also.
