Just bought a 2006 JC Neptoon 23TT (tritoon).
With only 2 people on board, it wants to blow out whenever it is trimmed up any at all. The motor has one more hole it can come down. It has a 15.25x15 prop. The prop does seem to have a slight bend in one blade, not sure if that is part of it or not.

Before you can determine proper engine height or any other problems, you need to replace that prop. Once you do this, hopefully that will solve your problem but that is the absolute first step. Good luck.

I was planning on ordering one today, and was going to try that before anything else. I just thought I would see what opinions were out there.

It certainly doesn't look to high in your pic's. But, Yes, replace the prop first so you have a valid starting point!

That motor looks pretty high to me. The cavitation plate is way above the bottom of the log and that is typically what you go by for height.

Here is the height of my motor on my center log. My motor is trimmed up a bit but if you follow the arc as the motor drops the cavitation plate is in line with the bottom of the log.

The only time I get a little blowout I have the boat turned hard and slinging a tube outside, then it blows out some if I try to straighten the boat too quickly.

I agree with Sundeckbentley. Unless your prop is below the center log you will get blowout.

New prop on the way. I will probably go ahead and drop the motor down to the last hole before I take it out again as well.

I have a suggestion, only do one change at a time or you will never know which change did what!

That's normally what I do. I may lower the motor and take the prop with me. I can do the prop easily at the river.

Because, as I stated in the first post, one of the blades is bent.

Looks like you should have a longshaft motor instead of a short shaft.

It is a long. (20")
I guess an extra long, (25") might be better, but I am not going to change it anytime soon.

Most motors have an extension kit available to convert at a reasonable cost.
