My motor won't pee

#1 Post by mcconnell63 » Fri Sep 18, 2009 9:36 pm

Hi Guys, I haven't used my toon in over a year and when I started it up the motor won't pee. It's a '07 60 hp 4 stroke yamaha. I'm thinking of flushing out the motor and maybe that will loosen up the impella. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I really enjoy reading the stories posted in this group. Thanks, Al :coffee

Check to be sure your pee hole isn't clogged. Spiders love those little holes. Do you have a water pressure gauge? If so what does it read? If nothing I would tear it down and replace impeller. If it does I would replace it anyway

Mine would also do it a couple times a year. Darn big oak tree I had to park under......
My dealer then told me to blow it out with compressed air. Good thing I have a small
compressor I carried down and blow in the line for a second, then tunering the key.
Dealer said if this does not work, run motor and try more air that this would work for there are 2 forces in line.
He did state just because mo pee doesnot mean the motor is no cooling off..... per dealer
Presto me be peeing...... I agree spidders or some small bug......
