Compact, Quality, Pontoon Advice Requested

I have owned 15 boats in my life ranging from ski boats to 38' cruiser. More recently I have owned 2 pontoon boats, a Premier and a Bennington, both 25 footers with 4 strokes. Kept the pontoons in the water at a marina. Sold both, got tired of the marina deal.
First time I have been without a boat in my adult life. ( I am 65).
I have decided to buy a compact pontoon to trailer. ( I have trailered larger pontoons in my life and they are my least favorite boat to trailer). Small pontoons tend to be the least well made . I am trying to determine if there is a better/best brand.
My reseach has identified Apex Marine that builds Gilgetter and Qwest brands, with Qwest being the more "dressed" boat. What I like is shorter length, like 16', smaller beam 90", lower weight 1200 lbs, need for a smaller engine 25-40 4stroke.
My questions:
Anybody have first hand experience with Gilgetter or Qwest ?
Are there other brands you could suggest and/or recommend?
Thanks for your help !!
