I just bought a 2001 Hurricane deck boat, the gas gauge does not work, I am looking for the sender. Does anyone know where it is? Thanks

Usually on top of the fuel tank, a large round metal disk held in with sheetmetal screws. 2 wires leading to it, a ground and to the fuel guage.

A you sure someone didn't repalce the tank and the new one doesn't have a sender unit ? Stranger things have happened and that's the only configuration for marine tanks (sender on the top of the tank). What color is the fuel tank ? (If red it's a portable tank. White or off white/tan or aluminum are permanant tanks).
