To Lift or Not To Lift

#1 Post by dmn8 » Mon Jan 18, 2010 12:42 pm

That is the question.

Purchased a new pontoon and debating on lifting or not. We will be using it frequently during the season and will be in a dock during the season and then out during the winter. The boat was in the water for 1 month last season and looks fine.

I am looking at 4k lb. ShoreStation.

Does anyone have any opinions on this topic in general and also does anyone have any experience with Craftlander lifts?

Thanks in advance.

If you can afford the lift the IMO do it. Keeps your logs and lowerunit from crud buildup

Thanks for a couple of quick replies.

Does anyone have any experience with Craftlander lifts?

No, but I do have a lot of experiance with Shore Station and in my opinion they are top of the line. If you ever have a problem you can get parts and they are readily available. I never heard of Craftlander.
Where are they made and what is the warranty.
