Im going to install a 12 gal. top side fuel tank on my toon. does this or should this tank be removed when filling it?
I see removal being recomended for the portable tanks (6 gal.) I dont realy know what the difference in the tanks would be. Seems like it would be a pain in the ass to remove the tank every time & heavy too

side QUESTION just bolted up my outboard the other day. Should I silicon the bolts & bolt holes?

Thanks guys!

What's the tank made of, plastic, aluminum, etc. Silicone not a bad idea to keep threads from corroding.

Is your transom wood? If so yes use silicone to seal bolt holes, If aluminum not so important.

I think ferment tanks are grounded but not sure. I see no reason to remove. It is mainly a Government protecting you from yourself
