Boot
I was thinking...... Does anyone have problems with mud daubers and other such vermin building in the exhaust hub, water intake ports, water outlet and other such openings on thier foot? I will be leaving my boat on the lift and the motor will be very accessible to said insects with an ample supply of mud nearby. I was wondering if anyone makes a boot or something that could be slipped over the foot to protect it. Any thoughts on this?

Re: Boot
I haven't had any problem except clogging up pee stream hole. Neighbor has a Evinrude with the low speed exhaust half way up from lower unit. He had all kinds of performance problems even having carbs rebuilt. Nothing worked and motor still ran like crap. One day on muff all this mud and larva came washing out of upper exhaust port and motor ran great after that.

Re: Boot
Trash bag is a winner...... was leaning in that direction unless someone had a better idea. I am going to the lake this weekend and will see how difficult it is to get it on. Hope the weather is good.
Thanks!
