Motor Mount

#1 Post by sidvic217 » Tue Mar 02, 2010 6:37 am

I'm looking for a new motor mount but I'm having trouble locating one.
I like the one tracker is currently using with the built in fuel tank.
I also saw a 6' pontoon style a wile ago but all I can find now are 10-20' ones and my trailer carries under deck so that won't work.

All sources any one?

I'd prefer the center pod style as I am going up in motor weight considerably (old 35HP two stroke to new 50HP four stroke)
but 10' is still too long. I was hoping to find one around 6'.

If I can't get a 6' one then the second option listed which looks like a standard pontoon motor mount would be find but I'd also like to get rid of my 2 6 gallon fuel tanks. Trackers new mount looks like this but has a gray plastic 10 gallong tank built in.

We have a member here Sundeckbently ? that has had quite a bit of custom work done here: http://www.custompontoonboatkitsetc.com/id5.html for his boat and he also speaks highly of them. They may be able to make you up a custom transom like you're looking for. But you'll have to contact them for both price and availability. They for sure have a standard one available it's shown on the page.
