Tritoon Trailer Advise?

#1 Post by jz@the3 » Thu Mar 11, 2010 6:25 pm

I have a red 2008 Prestige trailer for a Manitou SHP tritoon. It's like new and has all the bells and whistles. I'd like to sell it but can't seem to find any place to find the estimated value or know what the asking price should be.... The former owner paid 6k new. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Tried Goggling the name and can't find it. Are you sure that's the brand name of the trailer? I also question 6K for the price, that's a really expensive trailer! I could be wrong, it's happened once before, LOL! Wife tells me it's all the time, but what does she know, look who she married! :hammer

Prestige is a trailer mfg, but I thought I heard last year they may have went out of business. I'd try calling a dealer, I know they make for Crownline if you've got a Crownline dealer around.

I would just compare it to a similar trailer, that has about the same options. After all, this is what a potential buyer is going to do to you anyways when they try to get you to come down on price. Why would they buy your used trailer, with such and such options when they can go get this other Trailer XYZ for less money, with the same options. If you get my drift.

Good luck on your sale.

If you go to www.nada.com and go to the boat section they have prices for the trailers aswell.

Thanks for the advise on the nada---it listed the trailer at $4300-$5000 (after the 10% deduct for it being a pontoon trailer). There seems to be more to a pontoon trailer than the trailer I had for my 26' bow rider--why the deduct? I hope they didn't go under, they have always made a nice trailer. With a tri-toon trailer, someone would probably have to modify the enter brackets for another brand toon.
