We love our camping enclosure. We use it every weekend we are at the lake, since we live about an hour away. It came with the boat and was rather pricey. The company that made the cover is Dowco. At first it took a while to put up because we weren't used to the "system". Once you get on to it, it's a snap. We also have an air mattress that goes between the front benches and makes a king size bed. Quite comfy. The windows have three layers, screen on the outside, then a clear plastic for light but still closed and finally a privacy screen for the inside layer. Works great.

Hard cabin with A/C, heat, shower, stove, microwave plus bow and stern sleeping areas isn't exactly roughing it :)

Looneytoons, that is a nice a camping enclosure! I hope we end up using the toon enough to justify something like that. Lots of nice setups, guys. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts and pictures.

fredeboy, can we get pictures of that? Seems to be the sort of thing I'd be looking for.

How bad are the mosquitoes out on the lake at night? My favorite coves are surrounded by woods and I'd hate to get eaten alive if they travel far over water. KWIM?

I've found mosquitoes stay near shore but we are coastal/bay here. Don't know about lakes..never had any bugs anchored out at night other than harmless mayflies and that's only a couple of days per year.

Some kids mysteriously :paranoid abandoned their van close to my house back in the 70s. Made good use of it.
Now where did I leave that chain saw?
