ATTENTION: The toon is in da slip!

#1 Post by WaltF » Mon Apr 19, 2010 9:09 am

Yup we gotter done this weekend!
Saturday was crummy weather... like 42 degrees and foggy rain...
STILL i worked prob 5 hours getting the toon ready for the next day, Sunday, for i knew the weather man said 70 degrees and well, he cant possibly be wrong.
About 6 oclock on Sat, i thought maybe the weather man might be wrong.. heh

Got up on Sunday morning... fog burned off and a nice day started!
Dragged the toon down to the lake, backed it in, fired right up!! :nana :nana

The new 16x11 prop was RIGHT on the money, baby!! I can now reach the top of WOT!! 4800 rpm. Although no GPS with us, I could tell the toon was deff going faster.

Cruised around for about 4 hours...

Good times!

Yep, had mine out in the lake for the first time this past weekend as well. I'll start a new thread with pictures, but it was a bit chilly while moving. Lake didn't feel bad, 50* but warm enough for my crazy ass to jump in :nana

That's fan-diddly-tastic. :thumbsup I'll save my jelsous snide remarks. We had plans to take mine and my father-in-laws new boat up to buchanan last week. Figured going up the Canyon of the eagles would be a good trip to let him finish breaking it in.
Well...while going over my boat I notice my prop shaft was slightly bent :x . Yep,river runing did it. Pulled the lower and put it in the shop. $$$

Awesome! Took mine out right after I bought it, but I haven't been able to take it out since. This past weekend's weather was crummy, and I had planned on taking today off, but it's not much better. This weekend is supposed to be 70's and sunny, so if that stays, I'll be in the lake all day Saturday and Sunday. Can't wait. :prayer

The wife and I got the winter crud and pollen cleaned off our toon and got it wet again Friday. Went for first cruise to look at the ruined docks on main lake after the bad storms this winter. We are back in a cove and didn't have any major problems. Went out again Saturday cruising and again Sunday. Weather was great, 80 Friday and 75 Saturday, only 65 Sunday but still good to be back on the lake. Bass are bedding and crappy still deep and sluggish. Come on water warm up! :nana
