Hey all, I just purchased a new 2010 Bennington 2075GLI with the ESP package that includes hydraulic steering. I have added a ton of options and wanted to see if anybody had any input regarding my choices. I still have the weekend to tweek the options. I added the vinyl floor with snap in carpet, A yamaha 150 fourstroke motor, retractable ski tow pole, bow gate seat, dual battery with switch, depth finder, gf recliner seat with height adjustment, 33 gallon tank, stainless steal docking lights, kicker speakers, sony radio with usb port, rail mount cupholder, 2 portable cupholders, a trailor and led bimini lights. I am really excited, it is my 1st boat and we just got a dock on the lake at our camp. It is going to be a great summer. Yee ha. Thank you.

I will be floating on lake winnepesaukie in nh. I cant wait. The option I am questioning is the vinyl floor with snap in carpet. 1 sales person suggested it, the other said no. I plan on keeping the boat for 10 to 15 years and figure the snap in carpet will be easy to clean and replace. Are there any negatives to the snap in carpet? What type of speed can I expect from this set up? Thanks for the help. Also, I am reading somebpost about shark hide. What exactly does it do? Thanks.

Before you ever launch you boat sharkhide protects the logs from discoloring and staining. It is a great product and Clint the sharkhide man is a member and friend here.

I think you will like the snap in carpet. If it was me I would keep carpet stored away for day to day use like swimming and tubing. I dries fast and is easy clean up. When you want to cruise in style snap the carpet in for the plush ride.

The vinyl will protect the floor, and you can remove the carpet to dry or to keep it clean.

Shark Hide keeps you pontoons protected, so get 2 coats on it before it hits the water, now I can't swear was it does for toons that stay in the water, but the stuff in the sun will stay looking good anyway.

But If you start with it on and redo as needed you toons will stay looking the same as the day you bought it, I let the other guys fill you in on how often to apply it.

Welcome going to be a very nice rig.................my guess on the speed is 38 to 42 depending on the weight of the boat an prop you are running. Might be able to get the dealer to put the sharkhide on prior to the test run. Now that's a nice, first boat.

1roadking.... congrats on the new benny... sounds like you decked her out... I've got the vinyl floor on my boat and I love it. Never have to worry about what you track up into the boat from the launch, or if you drop your blood bait on the floor... a long handle stiff brushed push broom, a mild detergent and a garden hose and she's clean as new.... Sounds like your buying a great rig... Hope you and your family enjoy the heck out of it.

Thanks for the input. I thought the snap in carpet was a good idea. But just wanted to double check. I ordered the boat set up with all the goodies because I will have it for a long time. I was restricted on length do to a limit at
my camp. Does anyone know the overall height and length of this boat on a standard trailer. I want to put it in my garage, the inside length is 29' and height is about 7' 10'.

Congrats on the purchase. I love that ESP package and was amazed at how it handled. I'm sure you'll love it too. On the garage, I think you may be tight on the length and I would be worried it will sit too high on the trailer to clear the garage too. I am waiting on a new/used toon as well and I was measuring it on the trailer yesterday. It's a 25' toon with an I/O and swim platform. From trailer tongue to prop it's about 34'. I did not measure the height, but I think it sits higher than your garage clearance. While you are waiting on it, you may give some thought to another place to keep it. Sounds like a great boat! Have fun with it!

1roadking.... my benny is a 20SFi and from the back of the motor to the tip of the tongue on the trailer is about 28 1/2 feet long, so length "may be an issue" but i think the real issue is clearing the door because of height... got a feeling the toon on a trailer will well exceed 7'10".... I don't know that for a fact, I'm basing that on the fact that there's no way my boat and trailer will clear my garage, with a 7 ft high door, not even close.
