The boat has low hours and been setting in a barn the last several years the boat is in excellent condition the interior & exterior is as good as new?.

Welcome ! Both of my boats have the 3.0 (aka 135) and it's a fantastic motor, very reliable and easy to maintain (except the fact that it's below deck and reaching down there to change the fuel filters is a bit rough).

If it's been sitting you may have carb issues if it wasn't winterized properly. They are cheap to rebuild. You probably have a Merc Alpha 1 Generation 2 drive, also a fantastic unit.

Just remember to use stabilizer and winterize properly and the motor will last many....many hours.

Is this a private party sale? As far as a fair price...... well what is being asked for the boat and what are you willing to spend? Don't worry about prop for it untill you get it on the water and see what RPM is at wide open throttle with cargo abord. Why was it setting in the barn for several years? what kind of maint has been done on it recently? I know lots of questions.... just want to help find ya agood deal and ask the right questions. The boat,motor and trailer are all 1997 models it is not a tri toon.
It was serviced by a certified mechanic before getting put up 3 years ago.
The owner of the boat his kids grew up and did not want to boat anymore

Joe, see if the seller would be willing the launch the boat for a cruse or if not have him at least hook the hose up and start it for you. Plan on getting it serviced depending on what they have to do to it $300. to 500. Cheaper if you know some one or you can work on it your self.Can use that as bargaining chip $500. If he has it listed as OBO. offer him a low bid you can always move up from there. Look at the prop closely for repairs, dings,new paint.Check trailer tiers cracks sun damage ect. We were able to test run the boat! Ran good and was easy to start but seemed to be heavy in the aft end.
The Speedo did not work so I was not able to get the MPH and forgot my GPS at home!
It had an after market stainless prop that was in good condition!

We would like a toon to boat on the local reservoirs and Kentucky Lake and maybe a trip to Guntersville !

We have always had speed boats and never owned a Pontoon
