Upgrading stereo system on pontoon....

I have a 24' pontoon with a Suzuki 200. I want to install new stereo system with subs and amps. I will have 6 or 8 6.5" speakers, 2 - 10" subs and 3 amps. I am concerned about powering the system. Will I need to add another battery (1 now) and will the charging system be able to keep them charged? Anyone have any pointers?

I believe he runs his off of just 1 battery. It might not hurt to ask him to show you a picture of that one battery though.

cabin yacht , meant to run thier A/C and Heat 1600 crankin amps. she can go about a week with the stereo blastin accent lights and 4 55watt flood lights on before she needs a charge at all :biggrin2

normally i dont run the amps above 5000 watts output unless im showing off or competing. with the hot summers the amps go into protect mode if run at the 6500w max for more than 20min. still cranks out around 110dB at the helm at 3/4 power

the setup is a Sweet Sixteen System - 12 full/high range and 4 Subs 2x 10" and 2x 12"

i run a 700w rms amp for an hour or two off my single marine/starter battery without problems.
not at full power, of course, but sometimes plenty loud.
