Hi-n-Dry Boat Lift not level?

#1 Post by Oldboater » Mon May 03, 2010 2:04 am

I have an Hi-n-Dry boat lift with cables and 2 motors. It leans slightly from side to side, meaning it is not level. Is there a way to fix this?

There should be 2 extra switches on your control box to be used to level the lift. I have a Hi-Tide with 2 motors and the switches will turn one side or the other off so you can level the lift. Hope this helps and a pic of the lift would be nice.

Don't the 2 switches control the front and the back lifts? I need to level it from side to side. Are there a total of 4 switches?

Once when lifting, one of the guide poles got stuck under one of the pulley mountings and "tilted" the lift from side to side.

I was thinking, maybe I should "get one guide pole stuck" on the other side for a few seconds to level it out?

I think that he ment a closer picture of the lift. I can't tell there is a lift on the dock. Course my eyes are a little old.

All the docks have lifts, the little white boxes are motors and and the white poles are the guide poles.

Here is a closer look at my boat on the lift.
