Hi All,
I thought I would ask from the pro's instead of from a dealer. I am getting alot of different opinions on the subject.

I'm looking to buy a sweetwater 2186 pontoon next year. It's rated for a 115 hp or 135 with the tritoon. I would like to be able to wake board as well as pull the kids on tubes. My question is what HP is recommended to have enough to accomplish this. The boat is approx. 1500 lbs dry with a 24 gallon tank. Also, am I able to carry passengers while doing this and how many?

You will have no problem, but the only thing is no wake behind a toon, but I pulled a tube with my 50 and just found other boats wakes to take them through.

Most people do this with a full load of people on board too, even my 50 didn't get any faster empty than when I have 6 on board

Welcome to our site, glad to have you with us and we will try to answer all your questions

Thanks Handymanherb,
so a 115 hp is big enough to pull up an adult on a wake board or ski's?
