New Prop

Hello to all. I have been reading the posts and have got a lot of great information. I am new to boat ownership and have a question about props. I purchased a 2006 Crest 22' with a 2006 90 four stroke Suzuki. It needs a new prop as the previous owner had never owned a boat before and bruised the prop. I think I understand pitch, well probably not really but enough to not stray far from what is on there now. It is a 14 X 17. What I don't understand is that I can buy a replacement of 14 X 17 or a 13 1/4 X 17. Does the diameter really matter that much on this pontoon? I probably will have other questions but I need to get the prop ordered and on so in a couple of weeks we can be on the water. Thanks

Welcome

Do you know what kind of rpms you are running now wot. I first tried a 17p on my 150 an could only turn 5300rpm so I dropped down to the 15p. Thinking the p for the 90 might be 11 to 14. But if you are turning max rpm with the 17 stay with it.
