Prop Question

Recently bought a used pontoon with a 40 horse Merc. 2-stroke. The prop has a few dings and a small crack on it and was wondering the advantages of replacing it, if any? I have also seen the four tyne stlyle props and some props online specifically designed for pontoons. Are these worth the extra money. Any feedback will be appreciated. Thanks

Would have said no if you just said dings, but think I would look at getting a new one or have that one rebuilt. Most of the 4 or more blade props are for a good hole shot, think I would stay with the 3 blade in alum. Not sure of pitch but should be able to get some help with that.

Little ding are OK, but if it has a crack I would replace it. I've had pretty good luck with these props.
