#1 Post by bfp2006 » Mon May 10, 2010 7:54 pm

Do any of you know any companies that make aftermarket lifting strakes that i can weld on and also any aftermarket tritunes. i have a 27' Suntracker with a 3.0 mercruiser I/O. I want itto lift up out of the water instead of just plowing water..

Welcome. I'm not aware of any, but Tracker's warranty states that you cannot modify or weld the logs or the warranty is void. I would contact your dealer. One product to avoid completely is Tap Fins. :scared

Your RPM at top speed should be around 4400, if you aren't right about there you may wanna consider a prop change. A 27 ft. 'toon with a 3.0 would max out at about 19-20 mph tops. Any difference in top speed if you adjust the tilt while underway ?

I asked the BassPro doode about this once because I was hoping if i got THEM to do it, the warranty would remain in affect.
He said 'Nope', they wouldnt do it...

What you need to do is have a welding shop make it for you.
