Ed,

I think I read somewhere in one of your posts that your boat didn't come with the front canvas package and that you purchased an aftermarket bimini. If so, can please tell me what size it is and from whom you got it. I need one too.

I have gutted out the head on my boat and installed a real marine head with a remote holding tank and pump out port. The lake that I'll be using the boat on has some very peculiar rules regarding any type of overboard discharge. Also, we have to be back to the dock each night where we have full facilities.

Did I mention I live in one of the most screwed up state in the union? ~ New Hampshire the "Live Free or Die" state. Don't even try to make since of this...

I live in nh as well. Were do you do your boating? I have a camp in moultonboro and boat on Winnie. This is my 1st boat, what do meen about discharge? Are you referring to throughing your waste over board? I could understand urine, but I am glad they won't let you through fecies over board. No body wants to pull a caddy shack out on the lake. That would definatley kill the day. Not many people from nh on here. It is nice to see another one.

I'm in Wofeboro at the Corinthian Club. I just sold my 38' sailboat and bought a Sun Tracker 32 Party Cruiser. I'm in hopes this new boat will better fit my needs.

If you have a head or sink on board you need to have a state EPA inspection and permit. The rules are very clear - "No overboard discharge" and fines are stiff. I'm sure Mr. Chesebough will be seeking me out as soon as he spots the boat and if I'm not in compliance... I'll be getting an escorted off the lake.

I'm naming the boat the "Muky Duck" if you see me out there, stop by.

I'm also from NH. Will be trailering around. Tarleton, Newfound, Squam, Winnisquam, First Conn, and probably a few others.

If you think NH is F'd up try somewhere else.

I bought my bimini on eBay (forget the seller's name), but it's made by Carver and it's been great, no problems at all since '06. I measured top rail to top rail and ordered from them. I installed it so when it's opened, a few inches go under the cabin overhang. When it rains, there are no drips between there.

The Chesapeake Bay as of this year is zero discharge (even treated boat holding tanks). No inspections necessary but the fines are heavy. I agree with no discharge zones, it's not expensive or inconvenient to have it pumped out.
