Pontoon Boat & Deck Boat Forum

Hello all! im new to having a pontoon and what I have is a 40 hp evinrude motor and i noticed on the back of the motor ithas 2 buttons. The first knob is directly behind the motor and it says fast/slow and left/right on it? what does that do? and the other knob is on the right side of the motor. any help is greatly appreciated.

fast slow is either trottle control for warming up and the other one i think is fuel mixture

from what im getting i think its the fuel mixture..and i messed with this thing being in a mans nature to mess when things when they arent broken lol...anyone know how to adjust this to the proper setting because now that i think of it after i touched this thing the boat smokes more.
