Currently I have a aluminum 13 7/8 X 13 stock prop on the boat. Getting 21 MPH on the GPS at around 5100RPM. Want more top end speed. Any suggestions? Thank You.

Hmmm something is not right. What size boat is it? Even with a 24-25 ft you should be turning more rpm than that. Sure you are getting wot. and nothing is wrong with the throttle linkage. The 13p should be ballpark for the 115 an wouldn't think you should go lower. Almost forgot the WELCOME.

I have an ETEC 130 on a 22' Tri-Toon and by myself am hitting 36mph, low 30's with family on board.
I have an Evinrude prop but there is no stamp on the outside to indicate size/pitch?

We have a sweetwater 2183? 22 ft, tritoon, with a yamaha 115, I know different engine, but with just two of us with a 19 pitch stock aluminum, maybe full tank of gas we have got over 40. I think 42 with GPS, but that was last year, Now we have the 17 aluminum on for water sports and still get 37 with just the two of us if the water is like glass. We are not supposed to go over 6000 rpms with our engine, no matter what prop we put on. It was set up with the 19 so have to keep an eye on the rpms with just the two of us when we have the 17 on. We did lower the engine so that the cavitaion plate is 1 inch below the bottom of the engine pod. It created a bit more drag but we were having some aireation with the entire family(12) on the boat. That seemed to help for the most part. Plus learning to use the trim more effectively has helped as well.
