Heres the problem. None of the lights work, but the radio works fine. The horn also does not work. The fuse block was on the outside of the steering column, so its pretty dirty. The front right light only works when the fuse is pulled out and a wire brush is rubbed across the fuse block (weird), the front left light wont work and the top light wont work. The interior light comes on when the fuse is pulled halfway out (also weird). We checked all the wires, bulbs, and fuses.. theyre all fine. Im thinking I should start with a new fuse block. Any other suggestions?

Does your top light wiring run through (inside) the bimini top frame. Might be a short there if you haven't checked that.

Sounds like a pretty good place to start to me also. Sounds like yours has some corrosion/connection issues.

I would replace the fuse block. There are many to choose from, but you can start by checking out Jamestown distributors.
If you do replace it, mount the new one in a more protected location.

1. voltmeter
2. 6 pack
3. friend to hold your beer
really shouldn't take more than a 6 pack.

Whatever you do, don't spill your beer. The whole project will be jinxed.
If you are working on the water, don't FILL your beer. Even worse.

i hadn't thought about the spilling part.
hmmmm.
on second thought, a 12-pack would be better, to allow for spillage.
or maybe a half-barrel, and invite some friends.
bmr could bring some canal girls.
oh the hell with the lights, just have a party.
