Best way to remove old stickers?
The pontoon we bought is covered is old registration stickers and makes it look like crap. What the best way to get these off? Hair dryer?

hairdryer.........plastic putty knife...........mineral spirits to remove residual glue. Rubbing alcohol works too.

All of the above. The WD is great for the left behind glue. You might consider buying a heat gun. It's something you can use for a number of things in the future. They make some pretty inexpensive ones. I've burned out hair dryers a couple of times. They can be more expensive than a good quality heat gun that's made for the job. It's always better to have the right tool for the job.

Fish oil????? Never has smelled fishy, where does that stuff originate from?
Mainly posted because I forgot another cool tool I use for that.......if you go to an auto paint store they have plastic razor blades (just look like razor blades, but super thin to get under decals.) Like I used to tell my customers about any tool,"all the good mechanics have one, and you what to be a good mechanic don't you???? Well, you're just one tool away from good." Corny works well in sales.

Go to any auto parts store ( Advance, Auto Zone, O'Rileys, etc. ) and they should have a spray can of stuff made exactly for getting stickers off, and the glue left behind. This does seem to work the best, but Isosopryl Alcohol ( Rubbing alcohol to most of the population) works very well too, but takes a bit longer, and more product. The absolute best stuff that I've ever found is called Acrysol. It is what most detailing shops use to remove pinstriping and the left over adheasive from mouldings. Heat guns work well, but can damage paint much more easilly than an adheasive remover if you don't know what you're doing.

On the race car I had a 3-M foam buffing wheel 2 and half inches I think and you put that in the drill and it doesn't hurt the paint and the rubbing heats it up and it fly's away, then you just wipe down the glue left.

That's a great idea too. Just make sure you have a tool that will run at the correct RPM's. Astro makes an inexpensive kit.
