well now that we are on the topic of props, i will take delivery of my benni in about 5-6 weeks with a 200hp or pehaps a 250 hp the dealer will give me a new SS prop, what should i ask for?

Just let the dealer decide. Tell him you want max rpm at wot, which should be near max mph. That way the ball is in his court to find the right prop for your 200 or 250. If you say I want a say 19p an it isn't quite right, he could say well that is what you wanted, but I can swap it out for $$$.

I have to ask how you plan on using the pontoon, just cruising with a few friends, then top speed is what you want, but if you are going to do any sports, water ski, wake boarding, and tubing, then you may want more of a power prop and make sure the motor is low enough in the water. Just the next step down from the top end speed. You will have better hole shot for pulling up skiers and they will apprieciate it! If you go with a power prop you may have to watch the rpms when just a light load so you don't go over the recommended high rpms.
