Hi all, I'm close to pulling the trigger on a new to me pontoon boat. It's a 2004 Fisher Liberty 18. I'm on a small private lake, 100 acre no wake lake. It's powered by a 40 hp merc. Boat seems like new, and he's asking $7000 with trailer. Can anyone share thoughts on this boat/manufacturer?????? Thanks soooo much!!

Fisher was an independent manufatcurer that sold out to Tracker Marine (mid 90's I think). As far as I know they come off the same production line as the Sun Tracker pontoons. I own a 2009 Liberty 180 with a 40 HP Merc Bigfoot. It is no speed demon but it does everything we need it to. Its just a solid little boat - easy to trailer and pretty maneuverable in tight places. It hauls our family of four for a variety of activities: cruising, fishing, island camping and even some tubing (just not very fast tubing).
I don't think there were any boats produced under the Fisher badge for 2010 so the only price comparisons available are for 2009 closeout models and the price you stated is about half what you can buy a new 2009 for today.

Thanks DBL, good info!!! I went out on a limb and pulled the trigger at lunch. It's EXTREMELY clean, well maintained. Looks very similar to the one you have. Some gear came along with it, nice cover, life jackets, etc. Perfect size for me I think. Thanks again for sharing the info!

CONGRATULATIONS! And let me be the first to say: We need pics!
Also, if you need to know just about anything about pontoons this is the place to ask. The folks here are great.

Thanks again DBL! I'll get some pics on here soon, I'm pretty excited! Looking forward to some cruising and fishing, and I'm sure I'm going to be a regular on here! (asking for help I'm sure) Glad I found this site.
