What kind do I need to tie my bumpers on? I have plenty of rope for the anchors (yes I have two - different kinds), but I don't have my bumpers tied on to the boat yet. Looking for some suggestions. Thanks

use anything that won't rot from the sun and water or scratch your paint. I use some 1/4" floating nylon rope that I had laying around

if you fish go with twisted rope instead of braided as it is easier to get hooks out of.

hitime, I've seen a couple of different types of nylon rope, and the only way I can think of to refer to them is that one is pretty soft, and one is stiffer and scratchy. I would use the soft type, since it won't scratch paint or polished surfaces.
The kind I'm talking about seems to have very fine strands. If you rub your skin with a cut end of the rope, one kind will scratch and one won't. I wish I knew what the two kinds were called, but once you see both types, you'll know what I mean, I think.

Think the stiff kind is a type of poly like most of the ski ropes are made of.
