It looks nice and cleans up easily (even pet accidents), but snag it and you have a real problem. My dog hooked the metal ring that holds the rabies vacination tag to her collar in the carpet when she was rolling around on it. When she stood up she pulled a long run in the carpet.

Yea I already thought of that too. Thanks! Berber is not a good carpet for fishing and fish hooks. A tight shorter weave will work much better and easier to clean. In fact we have Berber in our house and hate it. It's hard to clean even with a Kirby.

You could do carpet inside the playpen and then vinyl/coating on the bow deck outside the playpen. That way you have an area where you can fish without having to worry about blood and guts getting on your carpet.

If I was going to do that I would Vinyl the whole thing then just go with the snap in Carpet inside the playpen.

You could do that too, but it's twice the work.

Plus the expense which I don't have the money to do.

It is wiser for you to get a Berber carpet because it is movable and can be washed easily. Since you have children, they might always accidentally drop liquids on it. With Berber carpet you can easily remove the stain and one more thing is it is less expensive than others.
