Square rail flag poles

I love the look of our red, white, and blue flying in the breeze when I'm cruising down the lake. I have a great flag and pole setup for my bowrider, but I'm having a tough time finding a mount for a pontoons 1.5" square rails. The only one I can find is at Overtons and its 80 bucks, which seems really expensive for what it is.

Any suggestions ?

I have 2 of these.
The base screws to the top of your rails.
You can change to different flags.

What I do is put a vertical flag pole in one of the fishing chairs / table mounting holes that aren't getting used. This way, I have a 8' pole, that sticks up higher than the top of the bimini, and everyone on the lake can see it. I made mine from a clothes hanger wooden dowell, with pvc pipe around it. No pictures, but it works great, and cost me about $25.

See the fishing rod holder thread for ideas. My rod holders are PVC pipes screwed to the rail and they do a good job with flag poles but that may be too redneck for y'all.

I wonder if these are any good for the top rails on the Bimini

Thanks guys !! And a special thanks to SMLtooner. I've got one of those Overtons # 87161's on order. If you happen to see a toon cruising down SML with a Tampa Bay Buccaneers flag ... thats probably me !!

I just used a standard wall mount flag pole holder with 2"x4" backing. But you may not want to be screwing that to back of your toon if it's new.

I have American flag and a Crown Royal flag. No pics of the actual holder though.

Thanks Robert,

It is from my website http://www.thebiminibuddy.com. I’m not trying to promote my products here, but since you asked, let me know what you think of the other products. I can always use input from other pontooners.
The Flag Buddy is a prototype that I developed and is not for sale to the general public as yet because I’m trying to find a finial for the top. But, if you don’t care about that, email me and I will get one to you.

Thanks again,
Dan

I don't get it, why would you want a "square" flag pole? How in the world do you expect the drunk girls to dance on a square flag pole??? I'm not big on women's lib., but a square flag pole is just mean, and probably a little dangerous.
