I had a gouge in ours like that and 2 years later it cracked. The nose takes the brunt of waves and wakes so IMO make them replace or extend the warranty

Well I finally got the chance to send off an email with pics of the dent and scratch. See what type of response we get from the dealer...

So I got off the phone with the dealer on several issues that have arisen with the boat. With the dent/scratch I used that same argument with the dealer and he kept saying we aren't talking about a car we're talking about a boat. I asked him if he would be happy getting a dent and scratch in a new car and he wouldn't answer the question.

Likewise on the items that I've fixed. He doesn't see a need to discuss anything that I've resolved. After everything is completed, I'll be rating and reviewing the dealership. We should have a section of the forum set up for reviews... or maybe there already is. So far the rating is a C-

I wanted to add this fact that I left out. In the dealer's defense, he said I did have a lifetime warranty on the tubes. He implied that this would be covered which is fine, but still... not happy having a new boat delivered like that.

Your warranty covers manufacturer defects Nd not damage so he is just avoiding fixing it. I would complain to the manufacturer about the damage. Send a pic and tell them what the dealer told you and they will contact the dealer.

I agree with this line of action. Nothing to lose by contacting them, everything to gain and you will have it documented.

Yep I agree. I will be contacting the manufacturer. I love the boat, but the first dealer I dealt with has a lot to be desired and its turning out this second one isn't much better.
