I'm trying to get into the habit of looking at the tach before I even touch the key to start the boat.
did the same with my 150. actually a lot quieter than the old 90.

Yep.
I used to have a '92 2-stroke Yamaha 250 on the ole deckboat and we couldn't have a conversation even at idle. That damn Honda is so quiet even at full tilt boogey it is scary. I have more wind noise than anything else.
