New umbrella for front of our Regency

#1 Post by lakerunner696 » Fri Jul 01, 2011 5:15 pm

We picked this up at Sam's Club for the boat. We mount it in the table tube. With it's wings we can tie it to rails to keep sun off front seats plus keeps the wind from tearing it up

I've been looking for something like that. Looks like it would work good at the beach also. I may have to head over to Sam's. Good deal at $39. :thumbsup

It comes with a point end just for the sand. Also comes with tent pegs.

Probably will work good. Saw that today when I picked up the wagon deal.

Loyd, that looks good, umbrella damn near covers the width of the deck for maximum shade.... so is that the table "pole ", minus the table that you have the umbrella in....pretty secure?

The last umbrella I had was bolted through the table leg. This doesn't need it because when we open it we tie it down. I have a hole in table so if needed I can still use it with the umbrella. The pole is only like 3/4" so I fit it in pvc pipe and to keep it solid in tube I pushed some foam pipe wrap into it

Looks good and the price it right. When I went to the double bimini I had to purchase the entire front plus replace the rear canvas because it didn't have the zipper. Note to new purchasers.........if you think you may ever want shade up front, it is much cheaper to do this at time of purchase. May even get it thrown in as an inducement in the bargaining process.

Good job lake it doesn't even look like an aftermarket product an appears to fit well with the tie downs. Sure the foam pipe did the trick for a shim and probably don't get any vibration noise. Nothing like serving two purposes in one thing.

I like that. I'll have to go to our Sams here and see if they have them.

I have been using a patio umbrella for a redneck T top for years. If I have a gang I will put my Bimini on the boat but it is usually hanging in the roof of the boathouse if it is just the two of us. I made a socket for it on the console

I have to but the problem has always been the wind tearing it up.
