Who has dual splash deflectors like in the link below ?

Does the lower deflectors cause a bow shutter in small or high chop on your pontoon ?
Thanks

Never heard of that before. What is it doing that you call bow shudder?

When the water chop hits the deflectors it causes a bad shutter (vibration) you can feel from bow to stern. Another example would like when you hit a pot hole in a car or truck that it causes a shutter in the front end.

Do you still get it when the motor is trimmed up? I've got deflectors on my Bennington, but I don't detect any shudder when I'm trimmed all the way down and we're running. Is your boat underskinned? It could be you are getting water hitting the cross-members that might give you that feeling.
Talk to the dealer, or better yet, take him for a ride to demonstrate what's happening.

Sounds like water hitting the cross members to me, will give you that feeling plus you may even hear it! Only real cure is under skinning to seal off the cross members from the splash. Water hitting the front deflectors rarely can be felt in my experience.

Call the Silverwave boys and ask them about it. They should be able to tell you what's going on. FWIW: I'm pretty sure the factory is closed this week because they are on vacation.

Dealer took a ride and said the water is hitting the cross beams like oldmn19 stated. I'm going to under skin it. What's better .063 or .080 5052 ? My cross members are on 24" centers.
Thanks
