I bought a new 2005 G3 LX3-22C in '05' and the only problem I've had is the original navigation lights continually blew out. I wrote G3 about the problem after replacing numerous bulbs the first year and a half. They sent me, free of charge, a newer style light assembly and I haven't had any problems since.
While G3 isn't the fanciest pontoons around, they're built like tanks. I'd buy another in a heartbeat.

We purchased our Elite 326SS G-3 SunCatcher last year and it has been a great boat so far. The original mooring cover leaked and G-3 replaced it no questions asked within a week. It is a sturdy boat. We have used it in several of the Great Lakes in some rough water and it performed great. I think you will be happy with your G-3.

I hope you enjoy yours as much as we do ours!

You all are making me SOOOOO jelous... I have yet to decide what I want and being this late in the season it is kind of hard to find one and to custom order is about 8 weeks.

It might be next year before I decide.

The choices, options, etc, at least the wife doesn't care, she just wants to lounge and read while every one else is fishing.

Thought I'd do an update on our G3.

Overall, we LOVE IT!

A few problems initially were ironed out by the dealer. Mike at Shady Creek Marina on El Dorado Reservoir here in Kansas has done what I think is a good job as dealer. This is my first NEW boat and if I were doing it again I'd have no problem with buying through him.

The deal included a "Slip Rental" for the year. I like being able to drive to the lake, walk down to the boat and simply head out.

So far we've had nice days, windy days, fishing days and simple cruising days. All of them have been fun and gone well. The boat has performed well and is so stable that one of my wife's friends who hates boats and water has been out on it and wants to go again. It cleans up easy with the vinyl flooring and I like the seating arrangement.

The only issue I still have is the speedometer. It doesn't work. It did work for a while after being hooked up. (Oops when getting it lake ready) but now it's quit again. The dealer will check it out as it was working prior to him pulling the boat to do the 10 hour service on the new Yamaha motor. Other than that, I've really liked the boat.

So at this point, if someone else were looking at a G3, given my experience with the V22F, I'd say "Go For It".

The dealer, Shady Creek just got a shipment of boats in so I know where there's a couple of G3 pontoons and a G3 tritoon.

Given some of the horror stories I've heard, I really consider us fortunate to have used Shady Creek.
