They still have to be wet before they will slide I tried unhooking them on a steep incline and nothing happened. Of course I had a safety line on them just in case but they just don't slide.

I don't understand why you want bunks that allow your toon to slide off the trailer without water :donno Why would you want to slide you toon onto the ramp instead of the water? You must be dealing with one steep ramp if that's how you unload. The fact that these caps do make a slicker surface than carpet is only a bonus. Their real benefit is they won't rot the wood like wet carpet will and they won't tear like even new carpet can after the first use.

These concepts are interesting. I did some reading, and I suspect that some materials are slicker than others as a result of whether they have a small percentage of Silicone in their formulation. If I go this route, I definitely will look for the slick stuff (the Blue Iron ones are).

I think that the real value of these would be on very shallow ramps, which mine is. Depending on time of year, I sometimes have my truck dunked fairly deeply just to launch or load. Pain in the ass when the water is 33 degrees :scared

Not saying that I want to offload into six inches of water, but I bet sliders would make things at least a little bit better.
