Well,

Got the carpet laid rails up and seats built!! :nana It was definitely not fun.... Well being at the lake was good all the solo work not so much.
Trying to get the carpet wrinkle free on my own was a super pain, but I finally got it. I did notice one little section with some defects but I think either the table or seat mount will hide it. The rails were kind of a nightmare for one person to do. I went through 5 drill bits and luckily my last one made it through the day. I hadn't even thought about drilling through the rub rails and the frame for each whole. I only had my ryobi rechargeable drill. Should have taken my electric high speed...
I went through 6 big scratcher pads on the rails. While they don't look perfect they will do for now. I will have to do some work on the sundeck it extended over the back of the old seats a little and since the new ones are taller I had to pop it off to line up all the seats against the rear rail. I will eventually recarpet and re-wood the sundeck anyhow.
Some where along the way my measurements were off... I have exactly an 18 inch gap at the long end of my rear group I think I may get another lounger and that way I will have a rear facing one.
The kiddies got me a top mount controller with tilt and trim switch built in. :nana :nana It is really sweat, and the T/T wires were exactly the same color codes as the merc wires I tested it and works like a charm, as well as the Neutral safety switch. I ran out of time to do any actual wiring, so I did not mount any of the seats or the console just put them in their places.

I forgot the new cover of all things!! :nutkick :nutkick
After putting the rails all back together I was only less than an inch from being exactly were the old ones were. The snaps didn't quite line up at the bow.

Oh well if it gets wet it is a boat right???

Wow! That is a good looking rebuild, and way more work than this old codger could do by himself. I went back and found the thread about what pontoonstuff donated to a couple of members of this group, just for goodwill. I wished I had known this before I ordered my vinyl deck covering. Not that there is anything bad about Overton's. But any business that goes out of their way to create satisfaction with their customer base, definately deserves my future business. Jordeli

Excellent job, mate.
Not only laying carpet solo, but doing it outdoors to boot! Hopefully you didn't get any small furry animals in the glue :biggrin2

Thanks guys!!

I probably have 2 more days of wiring and seat placement and we should be getting close! Not sure what to do about my nav lights??? The old ones had a one inch wide raised base because of the lack of room on the rub rail. I ordered new ones from PS not even thinking about there not being enough room for them... I may swap them out with the side mount ones, or just reuse the old ones even though they will look funky with almost everything else being shiny new!

We have been fighting high water at Pomme since Mid March. It sucks because my camper sits first tier on the water at our campground, so I have been worried I am going to have to move it every time the water comes up. As soon as it falls we get another stupid storm. I have not even got the boat out of storage yet because the we cannot get a nice weekend for anything! I told my wife at this rate we will be not swimming until mid June if we do not get some warm weather. Just crazy the difference from last spring! Let just hope mother nature has had her fill of giving us crappy weather and this is it!

I sent James an email on the progress, and he decided to fill that gap with an end lounger!! That guy is something! :bowdown He also is sending side mount NAV lights. He said I could send the others back, or give them away. Does anyone need new LED NAV lights???
