AWESOME MAN, your giving me hope... I love your color choice, that black makes it look sporty and will look good against your fencing.

Re: Ferg's Winter Project
Thanks for the compliments! We really like it. We weren't sure because all but the black were different colors than were on the site for selection. We went with a similar 2nd color to the base but decided on the texture to give it something a little bit nicer, but still be simple and subtle. Below is the layout we are planning on right now. The short lounge section is going in front of the console and the longer lounge section is going behind the co-captain chair. I do need to change the corner seats though. They are opening the wrong way right now. Not sure if I ordered them wrong, or if they were built wrong Either way, I think the fix is just 6 screws from what I saw. Should be easy peasey

Also, I'm pretty stoked. This weekend I'm heading down south to pickup my motor for the boat. I'll post pics once I get it.

Can anyone advise on the standard length for the transom bolt? i know 1/2" stainless, but not sure on best or normal length of those.

Re: Ferg's Winter Project
I am pretty sure mine were 3 inches. The transom was 1.5"+ then the motor bracket another .75 - 1 inch.

Re: Ferg's Winter Project
Best to measure each new install. Don't forget to add about an inch for Nylock nuts and a couple of washers. Get four Fender Washers for the transom side of the bolt-on.
When in doubt, round up. There is usually plenty of room and it is only a little bit of extra wrenching.

Re: Ferg's Winter Project
Thanks for the input guys. I was hoping there was a "standard" so I didn't have to worry about going out to the boat to get measurements. Guess I will. Oh well, Maybe I'll deliver some furniture while im heading out.
Just got my mercury lifting eye ordered today so I hope to actually get the motor mounted in a couple of weeks.

Re: Ferg's Winter Project
I replaced the bolts on my Jon boat, they where 3-1/2" long... 3" probably would have made it but the original was 3-1/2" so that's what I got... Congrats on the opti, those are fine engines I know alot of people run them down here with good luck. But on the other hand your slacking man. You have had that furniture for long enough, it should be mounted already....I'm really jealous of your progress, I still haven't done anything to mine except sit on it and dream
