where did you get a lift for $3k, in my area lifts are $6-7k....I have stumbled on one for $4500. Also, the lifts have to comply with the Army Corps of Engineers which some do not. I did find a used one for $2k but it doesn't meet Corps criteria and by the time its modified for a tritoon and moved it will cost another $1k.

That said, I already said I wasn't buying a lift yet and I know that is the easy solution.........any recommendations besides the lift?

Just curious...If I pointed you in the direction to get a brand new Corp certified lift for 3 grand, would you be interested?

I did a lot of shopping for used ones before I bought mine last year. There are plenty of problems you run into when used lift shopping that make it a pretty difficult process. I ended up finding a hungry lift dealer that was anxious to make a deal and I haven't looked back since. Real piece of mind for me anyway having it up out of the water. Really reduces the maintenance and it is much more secure on it.

Also, put me in the camp that suggests Sharkhyde on your new toons...something is better than nothing for sure.

With the economy as it is keep an eye out at marinas in the area for non payment for slip rentals. Might to find a deal. I know here there is lots of boat and rv deals

Start checking around for someone who can get the lift installed for a lot less than a dealer. I found a fireman that installs lifts on the side. He did mine for $1950.00 with all supplies and complete install.

Polish and sharkhide them new puppies, You won't regret it.

Your comment on polishing the toons was correct. The cleaner/smoother your metal, the harder it will be for algae,etc to stick to it.

I have had Sharkshide on the boat since new, and would not do anything different. I actually want to find a lift so it cuts down on growth and cleaning, but the aluminum on my toon looks very good even after sitting in the water 5 months out of the year.

Your dealer is a numbnut, stupid ass, hole dumbass idiot. Trust Clint as he won't steer you wrong. Sharkhide won't help much below the water line but your logs will keep new look above. Personally I wouldn't let that dealer touch my boat.

Since you paid a fortune I would invest a bit more for a lift.

I know this is an old post, but I had this exact question and while I was reading through the thread the first sentence of this reply had me rolling. I almost spit coffee on my laptop!!!!
