New in Green Bay, WI

#1 Post by brocja01 » Mon Feb 27, 2017 8:40 am

Morning Everyone,

Just wanted to stop by and say hello to everyone. My first-mate (wife) and I just ordered a 2017 Crest Caliber 230 CLS with a 150HP Merc. 4-stroke on the back. It's a pretty major leap for me, as I've never driven a pontoon and I'm going from a 16' aluminum fishing boat with a 40hp on the back to a 23' tritoon with a 150. We are super excited though, and I was happy to find a forum dedicated to people who own and drive pontoons. We live up in Green Bay, and will primarily be out on the bay and running up and down the Fox River. We've also just rented a wet slip for it on the Fox so the goal will be to use it a lot!!! Going to get our two boys (10 & 7) out behind it on skis and tubes and teaching the first-mate to drive and dock it.

Well, spring can't come fast enough, the boat should be ready for us by middle of April I'm thinking, early May at the latest.

I attached some pictures!!

Don't mean to be rude, but I will be. Was it over 55k? I got a bunch of prices on same set up but didn't get one from a Crest dealer.

Congrates and welcome! Have the bottom painted if you're keeping it in the water. You'll thank me when you take it out this fall.
